Snaps in Switzerland

Fire!

I spotted today's blip on my way up stalham high street to get ssome supplies for tonight's bbq .
The fire engine dates from 1881 and was operated by locals in exchange for beer tokens .the firehouse Is the 3rd oldest in Britain behind London and Edinburgh .
It was built in the corner of the churchyard and cost 41 pounds to build.
The fire engine was horse drawn with a manual water pump operated by muscle power ..
It was amazing to think such an item has lasted so long and how important fire cover was in an area full of cloth and food mills.
Didn't get to blip yesterday, but I will backblip my photo of the Olympic torch when I get home .
Sadly the rain is back today after some lovely sun yesterday..
