and goats. Buddha enjoys that he's able to command them from his "bridge". While this was happening Amadeus was having his latter dental surgery. We met the vet when we dropped him off there and she felt really sympathetic and professional. So I felt safe to leave him there. They took the x-rays and the diagnosis is that Amadeus has periodontitis, which is pretty common on dogs after they are 3 y old. Some get it some don't. She also said that it clearly shows that we brush his teeth every evening. That's always nice to hear.


Amadeus had to say farewell to two molars that were infected due to
periodontitis. Those teeth are so big with 3 roots, that they first put the tooth in 3 peaces and remove each root separately.



Amadeus is already home and resting comfortable. We put fire to the fireplace that he won't be cold inside. As long as the sun was shining he slept in the porch. It was very warm in there. For two weeks he's only allowed soft foods. Luckily the removed teeth were next to each other, so he'll have another side of jaw untouched. He's been through a lot today and I hope he gets his zest back soon.
