Water pump

Along one of the tracks leading away from the village there are several of these old windmills, turning slowly in the breeze and creaking as though they're in pain. They're pumping water up from the underground stream so that people can water their vegetable patches, and although 'proper' irrigation water has just come to the area, I think the people who farm along this little valley won't bother and will stick with their tried and tested method.
