Happy New Year!!
We spent the last day of 2015 skiing - (Except for Mum, she prefers to go for walks and enjoys massages at the day spa instead) Jarrad and his mates took us straight up to the summit. Cam was sure he was going to die up there as he wasn't confident he could make it down on the blue runs. I thought I would die from frostbite as it was -20 and I couldn't feel my toes or fingers. After a beer at the summit hut while taking in the amazing view and unthawing by a fire we started our venture downhill! It was a blue bird day ( no clouds and sun shining) which made it all the more amazing! We stopped 2 more times at little bars in huts to have a beer. This also allowed Cam to recover from the several falls he took coming down!
That night we dug out a metre of snow in the backyard and built a bonfire. Even though it was -20, we stood outside all night! We watched free fireworks at 9:30pm and were both in bed by 10:30 as I was still very sick with my throat infection.
We woke up on New Years Day and skiid again - although the freezing weather and exhaustion from yesterday made it a shorter day.
