The Love of My Life was a golfer, back in the day. Her day not mine! She played in high school and college in addition to 'Kiddie' Golf Tournaments throughout the state of Florida. In college she traveled to tourneys with the men's team since FSU had no official 'women's' golf team back then. By the time I got to know her in '72, she had moved on from all of that and we only hit balls at the driving range or played par 3 courses. Golf was never 'my game'...too slow (that was my excuse and I'm sticking to it!). She won this trophy in 1959, please! The driver has broken off and the base is long gone. It sits on a dusty shelf in our garage. I'm sure she has 'plans' for it.
