Alicante City

In Spain, January 7th is known throughout the land, as the first day of The Sales.....the Rebajas!......
The Sales can legally begin on the day after The Three Kings...
so, with "my morning walking partner"...M.... we caught the bus, from Benidorm to Alicante.....
We rode down the motorway....and 45 minutes later, the first stop was Alicante City........we made the journey for 3€......because we qualify for the pensioners' discount!.... great value!!
The city was looking fabulous in the bright sunshine......the very many flower beds along the sea front, were full of eye-catching brightly coloured wall flowers......
if ever you need convincing about climate change, this was it.......spring flowers flourishing in the 'winter' sunshine! Lovely!

And the bargains in The Sales were very good, too!
