What a difference a day makes

We arrived at Loch Ard yesterday and the road was fine.  This morning we tried to go into Aberfoyle, but were turned back by police as the road was impassable; so we about turned and headed back to go swimming (in the pool). We were fine as we were staying until the end of the week, but others were trying to leave to return home for New Year.  They weren't able to use this, the main road out, but a local offered to take them to the road to Callander via a forestry road !!.  Some cars made it; others had to come back.  If no-one could get out, newcomers couldn't get in so the hotel were able to offer them a room for an extra night.
