Fire

After what looked like an unpromising start the day really brightened up. But underfoot the ground is saturated and after a morning outdoors my boots were suffering.
Today was all about fire and it's always great fun introducing this for the first time seeing faces turn from the fear of sparks coming from the fire steel to the desire to be the one who gets the tinder to light.
After a shirt while everything is going well and it's time for marshmallows and then as the water boils hot chocolate. Not a cold day but a hot drink is always welcome and enjoyed.
