Surveying the territory....

My mum often feeds the birds and has a strategically placed bird table just outside her kitchen window. It was an 80th birthday present from my children so it's been there for along time, from a time when her eyesight was much better. The garden is well established with lots of shrubs and hedges where her feathered friends shelter. So today I decided to see how many I could attract! I lost count at 40, although you can only see this solitary robin in this shot.

My mum was moved to the community hospital in Stirling today as she recovers from her recent illness. So I am heading home tomorrow - flooded road permitting! Wish me luck!
