Sunrise at La Caumette

Woke up to the sound of an enormous bang and a great plume of smoke. Took a photo just in case I had to call the pompiers to the end of the world but in fact it was someone lighting their bonfire with a shot of petrol.

Incidentally, Kit and I passed an incident-free night guarding the contents of the new house. Nothing stirred apart from the odd passing car and the gentle rumble of a snoring labrador.
