The forest floor is not meant to look like this!

Six mile walk to Innerleithen this morning.   I met:

- A nice couple staying at the Cardrona Hotel.   Discussed floods with them.
- A retired train driver suffering from PTSD as a result of track fatalities in which he had been involved.   Discussed floods with him.
- A retired (88 year old) shepherd and his retired dog, Nell.  Recently widowed.   Had to give up his sheep.   And Nell not in the best shape now.   Oh dear.  Discussed floods with him.
