Jack's dream sofa

My friend, Elaine will tell you that Jack and I have been looking for new sofas for three years...it feels longer...but I think we are nearly there. However, a slight detour was created when Jack fell in love with the sofa in my blip. Yes, he is right it does look a bit like a Rothko painting but as the lady in the showroom explained the velvet material is very fragile. So the idea of people sitting on it or cats sleeping on the arms is just not on!!

Anyway we will have that shape sofa but in a more durable velvet material. My job now is to choose the colour....from hundreds. There are sample swatches on their way so next week will be decision time.

In the meantime I will print out a copy of this photo and frame it for Jack to put on his bedside table!
