Brussels at Christmas 2015

We caught the train into Brussels for our annual Christmas stroll with the kids. The kids got on amazingly well today and spent the entire day making each other laugh and making up little games! It was lovely (if rare). It's alarmingly warm for this time of year and it was very quiet compared to previous years due to recent events. We've been ice skating for the past five years but we decided to give it a miss this year due to the layer of water on top of the ice (due to the warm external temperature) but we still had a nice explore. The kids both went on their favourite carousel (Olivia squeezed herself into the rocket and only just fit - I have a photo of her on it when she was three!) and then they chose to go on the toboggan ride rather than the big wheel. We had lunch at the Waffle Factory before heading home.

This evening we were all invited over to our Belgian friend's house for our dinner which was so much fun. The kids all get on so well to the point that Dexter wishes we could all live together all of the time!
