True Grit

After a nightmare journey in snow and ice, passing many vehicles through fences and empty HGV's spinning on an icy hills.

Thinking wrongly the worst was over when ahead all I could see was a line of stationary red lights extending over the horizon.

Tonight's picture is the view from my car, a view I enjoyed for over an hour only two miles from home after driving fifty miles on unimaginably dangerous roads.

No grit, No Gritters, No Road Closed Signs, No Police, No Traffic Information, No Twitter!

It snows in January! after this afternoons brief flurry the country ground to a halt, people were injured and much damage was done to vehicles and fences.
