Upgraded

We're back in Essaouira for the night.  A bus ride from Marrakesh, we were met by a man with a trolley and our luggage transported to the hotel.  We're in the same hotel as we started over 2 weeks ago - but this time they've upgraded us to a fancy suite.

We have a huge bed, a large settee, and 2 chairs; and a large coffee table.  All are currently serving the useful function of allowing full repacking of our cases.  We have, of course, made a few purchases whilst here.

Particularly impressive are the bathroom arrangements - we have a bath with a decent shower over it, but we also have a large walk in shower room with a rainfall shower.  A complete contrast to some of the places we have stayed, where just getting a shower in the morning has resulted in soaking the bathroom floor.

We went out for a last walk around the Medina, and realised how much less frantic it is here - there are still lots of shops trying to sell you things, but the streets are a little wider, on the whole, and the shopkeepers are less pushy, and more accepting of the word "no".

We had a lovely last meal, and will have an early night.  I've had a text from Easyjet suggesting that there are increased security checks at the airport, and we should arrive 4hrs before the plane leaves (at 1130) - so this would involve arriving at 0730, I suspect the airport will not even be open at that time.  Our hotel assure us that this is totally unnecessary in the small airport in Essaouira - they suggested 90 minutes was plenty.  We've compromised at a minimum of 2hrs.
