'New Chicks + Beer & Burritios'

We decided to replace our chickens that we've lost to the foxes recently and drove out to a chicken farm in Emerald today. The idea was that we would all choose one chick each, giving us 4 new chicks, but we ended up buying another 2 to make it an even half dozen, and all different breeds.

They are all week old chicks so we need to keep them inside in warm conditions until they're at least 6 weeks old under a heat lamp.

Tonight we had our friends Nick, Jackie, Annika & Sophia over for a beer and burritos night. Nick is a keen brewer and bought over some delicious beers for us to sample. My favourite was his German Bok.

The time just flew from when they arrived at 5pm until they left at almost 11pm.
