The pond

We had so much rain yesterday that the pond has emptied itself.  The pressure from the groundwater lifts the pond lining and makes the water spill out.  It's happened a few times before, but there has never been so little water left as this time.  What can be seen in the photo is all the debris that normally lies at the bottom of the pond, with black liner poking out in some places.  It's just as well that the rain water butts will be full and can be used to refill the pond once the pressure has dropped and the liner has gone back to the proper place.
