Heart of the house

She's an old lady at 61 years of age, and has been at the heart of this house for all that time. This week she was due for annual service, and had to be switched off so she could be worked on. But the engineer scheduled to come and service her was taken ill, and despite our very best efforts we couldn't persuade her to re-light while awaiting another visit. Hence cold corner of house, cold dog, cold cat, cold us.

Hooray, another engineer, the lovely Mark, came today, did the service and got her going. So this evening she's back up to temperature, exuding her usual warmth. Happy house, happy dog, happy cat, happy us!
