Fireworks on holiday

Today we headed up to Hanmer for a weekend break. We started the trip with a stop at Great Grandma Baa's, so the boys could burn a little of their energy.

We then arrived in Hanmer just in time for tea. And Conrad was very excited by everything. In fact he was so excited, that he didn't really settle that well at bedtime - which meant that after dark he was allowed a very special treat.

The neighbours were letting off some fireworks, so we got him up (the loud bangs had woken him up again), so he could watch. He was so cute - he had to bring his new glow stick torch with him - to keep him company. He was fascinated with the fireworks - all the different colours and sounds.

But after so much excitement, he was definitely ready for sleep once the fireworks stopped.
