Curiosity killed the....

Kookaburra???

While this lovely kookaburra munched away on his dinner, something else obviously had his attention also, as he tilted his head this way and that.

So sweet, dreadfully curious....and the intruder he had detected turned out to be Mr. Magpie, perched on the edge of the roof, just above where the kookaburra was eating.

The Kookaburras and Magpies are fighting over who has first dibs on the food just now, as both have their young to feed.

The light wasn't all that good today. Rain threatened to fall for most of the afternoon, although it never eventuated.

Quite late, rather weary, so will catch up with everyone tomorrow. I did see the good news today though, the pledge/donation tally continues to rise. :)
