Ramblings and Mutterings

A New Hope

Spent a great evening at St.David's church Neath, where the New Hope Gospel Choir from Atlanta were holding a concert. The choir have toured here a number of times before but sadly I missed their previous visits, so I was looking forward to the concert. And I wasn't let down it was a great evening of songs and fellowship.

Pastor Rhys Stenner led the worship, and it was great to meet him after following him on Twitter for a while, he has great connections with Wales in that his Grandfather was a Welsh rugby international. He was ably assisted by John Conrad who was conducting the choir, and was an absolute livewire as he jumped up and down, side to side and was just brilliant. It's clear the choir feed off his energy as well and they gave a tremendous performance.

Being a rugby town, the loss in the World Cup semi-final after Sam Warburton got sent off still hurts but as part of the service I think we've finally forgiven Alain Rolland.

One hopes and prays that revival has been stirred by tonight's events!
