Re-emergence

Having been laid up in bed with an awful bug, today I felt well enough to get up & even ventured out for some fresh air for ten minutes. It was heaven to breath in the fresh air even if caused a serious coughing fit! The light was lovely but sadly I didn't have the energy to stay out longer & take some 'proper' pictures. This shot of the river was taken on my phone. The water level is still high but nowhere as bad as it has been lately.

It's been quite a week in the village. Three successive landslides have closed the railway line between Hexham & Newcastle which will take several months to clear & make safe. And the night before last a gang of masked men were caught in the act of stealing the cash machine from the co-op! We were woken at 4am by the sound of the police helicopter overhead.

It's good to be back in blipland & great to see the total pledged is making significant progress. I have some backblips to upload which are barely worth seeing but somehow I still can't bear to miss a day!
