Keighley and Worth Valley Railway

Saturday 9th Jan 2016 (1232)

A day out with Huddsbird and, as usual, we crammed a lot in and had a good time.

Despite the rain we set off to Howarth and had a wander round the village, a stop for hot chocolate and then down to the station to watch the steam train. Rather disappointed in the engine, which wasn't very picturesque from the front.

Then up on to the hill to stop at a roadside bench for a picnic (great parking, lol!) before moving on to Saltaire and a look round Salts Mill, followed by a cuppa.

On the way home we stopped for a couple of games of 10 pin bowling, winning one each, and three goes on the motorbikes, which has become a tradition often when we meet (I won!). A lot of fun and laughter, which was a great tonic.

Back to Huddsbird's for tea and hopefully a bit more fun.
