Back to it!

Today is our first real day at the house in 2016, and it's been a successful one. The man came this morning to take the final measurements for the windows on the front of the house. I can't wait to see them fitted!
We also received a letter from the solicitors telling us they now have the original deeds to the house which we can go and collect - Stu is very excited to see them as they are 150 years old so should be quite interesting!
We have also both got quite a bit done today. I have removed some more plaster in the main bedroom (where it has got damp from the poor join between our house and Bettys). I have also removed the last bit of plaster and coving from the front bedroom, as well as the polystyrene ceiling tiles. My arms are killing. The hole you can see in the corner is where the brick has crumbled due to the damp getting in. We really need to get it sorted!
Stu had replaced more bricks, took up some floor boards, removed loads of plaster in the landing, ripped up the carpet in the hall and tidied up!
Think it will be an early night tonight as we are back there again in the morning.
