Totally Spent Again!!!

Sorry for another hockey Blip but after Mimi's injury last night and as a result being so late home today has been kind of lost.

Sadly Fraser's news got overlooked due to Mimi's escapades, as I was getting Mimi's pads off last night the head coach of the club made a B-line for Fraser.  This is not usually a good sign but last night it was.  As he spoke to Fraser he explained he had been watching him and watching how hard he worked and how he was obviously working off ice to improve, Fraser's reward was to be asked to train up another age group, this will mean a lot bigger, faster and physically stronger guys but the bold boy beamed and readily accepted.  The coaches will not pick him for the older team but even to be recognized for his hard work is testament to his love of his sport and his dedication.

Mimi is very sore today, she has been struck so hard the imprint of the puck and some of the lettering from the edge of the puck are visible in the bruising.  She has no broken bones and was worried she would miss next weekends away game in Dundee.  She is so tough, I would have been scared to go back out there let alone skate on for forty minutes after the hit last night.

The shot shows just how physically spent Fraser is at the end of training here bent over sucking in lung fulls of air as he drifts back towards the bench.
