Day 19 - Hero of Telemark

There was weather of all kinds, but we hardly noticed as we were having so much fun (and in so much pain) going through telemark drills with Ludo. We found out a few very important facts about telemark skiing today, key fact is that it hurts whether you are doing it right or doing it wrong. So you might as well try to do it right so at least you look cool as you suffer the dagger pains in your quads.

We found just enough energy to get us to a bar in town for après Tele beers, then off to a rustic local restaurant for our inaugural gala diner where we all ate and drank like heroes (of telemark). Jon won the inaugural H.O.T. award (Hero Of Telemark) for being so dam good at it after so little time doing it (telemarking that is) and made a moving speech in which he thanked his fellow telemarkers for voting for him, and his parents for raising him in such an open minded way that freeing the heels comes naturally to him. He will be a tough winner to beat in 2017.
