The Great Wall

A late morning hike along the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall of China.

Took a cable car up to watchtower 14, then walked up to watchtower 21. 

The very last section from 20 to 21 was a steep uphill crawl climb, my legs turning to jelly as I breathed in the cold, crisp winter air and took in the beautiful view (supported by the sturdy wall!)  

Getting as far as watchtower 23 in the non tourist section will need to wait for next time!
