Pollarding

Probably the most exciting thing that is going to happen to me today to be fair so had to blip this.

Every few years we have the willow tree outside my office at home pollarded as it's rate of growth is staggering. My heart was in my mouth at one stage as the guy walked along the branches to cut them, neatly just missing the telephone wire!  The amount of light this has let in here is amazing - so much brighter! I am totally  banned by Hubs from using our chainsaw as we know a few people who've had very nasty accidents and he's seen me with the hedge trimmer :/ !
