DERELICT SUNDAY

Broken fences and
Barbed wire - 
Once designed 
to keep people out…..
To hurt 
maim and
cause pain…..
Grafitti
Smashed windows
Dereliction…..
Where once stood
a Chapel
But look closely…..
There are buds - so
There is hope….. 
And a halo -
A circle of light
Representing holiness
From years gone by…..
There may be similar things
In your life and mine…..
But we must always have hope -
Because if we lose hope
We lose everything!
