Grumpy?...or a show of strength?

I also thought it might have been injured but in this stance, it followed its partner(?) that was metres in front into the nearby lake without a problem, and flew from one end to the other without any obvious stress.

To the left of this photo and within eyesight of this swan,. another one looked on. Make of it what you will :-)
