Vitrine

Afternoon at the modern art gallery to catch the Roy Lichtenstein thing that finished today and has only been on since, let's see...last March. A little slack, yeah I know...

Interesting to see that part of the exhibition included a vitrine containing lots of original correspondence and newspaper clippings about the general flak caused when The Scottish National Galleries bought the 1963 original Roy painting In The Car for £100,000 in 1980, with much of this flak seeming strangely familiar after all this week's controversy and criticism following the news about Ellie Harrison.
