The Beylerbeyi Palace
Today sunny, warm, blue skies! We visited the Beylerbeyi Palace on the Asian side of the Bosphorus. The palace was closed, but never mind, we enjoyed the little garden with its bathing pavilions and the café where we had lunch. Actually they served us a breakfast platter, I think it was all they had, it not being tourist season. It was very good with four kinds of cheese, olives, tomatoes and cucumbers, sausage, fried eggs, honey and jam as well as a big thermos of tea.
The main picture is of one of the bathing pavilions with cormorants perched on the roof, upper right is an art nouveau window of the café.
