Sad Day

Woke up today to hear of the sad passing of David Bowie. For me, like so many other people, his songs have been a backdrop, a soundtrack to so many parts of my life. Space Oddity - mid teens. The Jean Genie - 6th form. Heroes - University. Ashes to Ashes - first teaching job. Absolute Beginners - getting married (no laughing).
I think I'm going to learn the killer Mick Ronson lick from Rebel Rebel as my very small way of marking the occasion and payment of respect.
