Phew!

This common seal was lying up on the slip outside the house this morning, having a rest after all the buffeting it must have had in the gales over the last few days.  

So strange to wake up this morning to silence, no roaring wind or crashing waves, just a slight breeze but very chilly.  Luckily we had no damage, just a car covered in seaweed, and a garden full of the stuff!   That's what happens when you're 20 foot from the shore!
