Tangles
Woke to the sad news that David Bowie has died.
Wind has dropped and rain stopped, so I went down to the beach. Incredible amount of tangles on the beach, and in the shallows of the sea: I presume the very rough seas recently have thrown them all up. Tangles are a type of seaweed that used to be collected and sold for addition to fertilisers, but there doesn't seem to be a market for them any more. It was a hard job collecting them, and drying them out for sale, and the price paid wasn't high for the work involved.
I collected four carrier bags of plastic & other litter items for the bin there, which was satisfying.
