Faded Glory.

My first place of work, back in 1978 was in the supermarket which used to be at the far end of this precinct. It first opened in 1967 and used to be a lively shopping destination with Butchers, Greengrocers, Hardware Shop and Baker to name just a few. These days, most of the shops are empty, the supermarket has become a gym and is far from busy. However, in this picture, the second shop on the left stands apart as a bright friendly place, where dreams start to become real. This is a well established travel agent, my destination after work today. After a visit last week, we now have a trip to Poland to look forward to later this year. Whatever the future of the precinct, I hope the travel Agents will always have a place here and that they will help us plan many more holidays.
