Geotubes

Work continues at the park, it's supposed to be finished around March but it doesn't really look that likely at the moment. These are the geotubes currently on the tennis courts. The sludge is being pumped from Heath Pool into the tubes which are made from a permeable textile, allowing the clean water to be drained back into the pool. The pump was just being disconnected as we got there, when it's in use there are workers on hand to keep an eye on it now. At the front of the shot you can see the debris from the first tube they used which exploded with such force it knocked the fencing down and flooded the path!
