What did we do before the internet?

This is a question I ask all the time. I honestly don't know what I would do without it, and I find it so hard to belive that Google was not a thing until 1998. I have spent most of tonight googleing and youtubeing how to remove paint from brickwork and stone. Most things seem to recommend sand blasting and pressure washing which seem a bit drastic for what we need to do. If anyone has any suggestions feel free to comment!
