Water, water everywhere.....
A combination of very high tides and very heavy rainfall means there is a great deal of water about - mainly where it shouldn't be. We have already had 4.8 inches of rain in January. It is also getting colder, as it should be.
But due to the very mild weather in December we have many flowers in bloom which should still be asleep: 27 Daffodils in one patch are almost going over having been blooming since Dec. 11th! There are Primroses, a few Violets, many Aconites and Snowdrops and even some Crocus: 18 species in the garden which is unheard of as early as this in the year. I am not quite sure what will happen when the spring does arrive.
