River Ribble - Sale Wheel

While out on site visits today I stopped off for my packed lunch at Sale Wheel on The Ribble. The river here turns at 90 degs through a narrow gorge. With the river in flood you could not see the rapids. The scene is very wintry now the trees are bare.
