BDB- Red Damsel Fly
Still very busy with our delightful wee visitor, out and about doing lots of things like playing on Bouncy Castles ( not us, the 9 year old visitor ) then a wonderful time climbing up the many stairs in Carnassarie castle. Then a visit to the Crinan Canal.
Back home in time to catch the tail end of Murray v Tsonga - we did record the tennis , but off course it switched over to BBC2 which meant we didn't get to see the game apart from the end of that last set when it was 4-4. Must have been quite a strain playing in those conditions, blinded by the sun. Is that good for their eye sight long term? Anyway I was really pleased at the outcome.
Tonight's blip is an early shot from this morning by the garden pond. This time a red damsel fly settled on one of the water plants near where yesterday's dragonfly emerged.I quite liked the composition with the striking leaves at the base.
many thanks for all your comments on the emerging Southern Hawker. As promised, for those interested I have uploaded a mini series of the " birth " of the dragonfly on my blipfolio. The images are in the Seabirds category as I have used up all my categories. Don't know how to change the category or to delete category or images from it , so sorry you will need to look in the Sea birds section. Also still can't manage a link to my folio so please use the blipfolio icon below the calendar. Thanks for taking the time to look.
Regards Mary
