Spanish traditions

Those of us who have lived in Spain for a while, will recognise the whistling tune made by the itinerant Knife sharpeners.....
and so it was this morning........
In years past, the 'knife man' would ride his old motor bike around the streets.....housewives would take their knives, scissors or garden shears...and for a few pesetas he would sharpen them, as you waited.
Today, the 'Knife man' had his familiar whistle, but his machine was in the back of his white van........he happily set it up for my photo, even though I was simply passing by, and didn't have any work for him!
