Junior Doctors

Now I am not going to get involved with the politics. I listened to an intense discussion on Any Questions on Saturday and I can see both sides of the argument. But having to work 80 hrs a week does seem crazy. 

The thing is, my heart goes out to these keen young people. There was a big group picketing the gates at St Mary's, Paddington and they all seemed cheerful. I would have liked them to put on angry poses for the camera but they were all smiles. I recognised the accent of one of them. "So you're from Ireland" I said. "No, Scotland" she replied. Doh.

If only we could solve the dispute with the wave of a magic wand.
