Faces of Fiona #65
Could hardly wait this morning to get out on the lake in our rowing shell - the temp was still in the 60s!!!! It was HEAVEN!! and we felt the energy that was sapped out while in hot Colorado start to surge back! Then we got home and learned that Fiona did not go to daycare today because she had a little fever and their family is leaving tonight on the red eye for Boston to spend the week with Mom K's family there. (that's right, Tatum and her Dad were home about 26 hours, enough time to wash the clothes and throw them back in the backpack) So..... We got Fiona and Tatum for a good part of the day. We missed our Fiona tuesday and will miss her the next few weeks, so this is "Faces of Fiona Friday." She doesn't exactly look sick does she? She's been playing with kid scissors and cutting up yarn into tiny pieces very diligently, (and expertly I might add). When she started to move from yarn to her hair, we changed the activity! Tatum said she probably is not allowed to play with scissors, but I'm using this anyway, (and I liked the color composition....and the moose on her Durango shirt which was a big hit!) No nap. Insisted on getting in the bathtub. Too many exciting things to do here I guess. (lots of dolls and puzzles) Tatum made another story into a book. We spent time at the playground. It warmed up to higher 70s. Lovely! (Sorry I'm obsessed with the weather, and really feel for all those still under this heat wave...) Surely Fiona will sleep on the plane tonight!
Our energy level went down again by the end of today, and we were reminded why we didn't bring Fiona with us to Durango (!) but we hope to recover tomorrow :-)
