Birds Again

My mornings are cheered by sunlight and these beauties.
I saw a wonderful screening of 'Bolshoi Babylon' last Sunday. A documentary made by 2 UK men who were amazingly given uncensored access to the Bolshoi at the time of the acid attack on the then Director Filin. The Bolshoi, for hundreds of years has been central to Russian power. Like a liner, it steams on, through Tszar's, Revolution, Wars, Stalin to Putin. There was an excellent discussion after the screening chaired by Kirsty Wark with the film makers, ex ballerina Deborah Bull and a Russia expert. Someone said : ' The Bolshoi is a lens revealing the state of Russia'. So even if you have no interest in ballet , its a fascinating watch.
