A Perfect Snowfall

Dear Diary,

To me, this was the perfect snowfall.  Gentle, no winds or outages, soft and fluffy, and over by 6 am!  The sunrise was lovely too and the trees, covered with a fresh white blanket looked quite nice next to the pinkish sky.  I was out at 6:30 am to clear in front of the barn so when Chris comes to plow the 4 inches from the driveway I can get the car out.

I won't have to call David for this one.  I can manage it myself.  Another storm is due on Saturday but they are now downplaying that one a bit so it might not be too bad.

The landscape around my old farmhouse is a winter wonderland and the soft blue sky sets it all off perfectly.  This is the landscape of Christmas cards and Currier and Ives prints!  This is the landscape I love in Maine.  My extra photograph today is of the tiny footprints of Gaylord and Squirrel Nutkin.
