Icelandic sheep

On the Ainsdale National Nature Reserve a small mixed flock of Herdwick, Shetland and Icelandic sheep crop the unwanted grasses and shrubs growing on the sand dunes.In the bright low sun shining across the Reserve this morning they glowed against the dull winter colours and even against each other as on this picture.
