Day 10: Koh Tao

Missing out a few days because we didn't really do much - on Sunday most people from our group left Koh Phangan so lots of goodbyes. Didn't do much the rest of the day - except I got a tattoo... haha. This lovely Thai guy started doing it with a bamboo stick, except it was without a doubt the most painful thing I have ever experienced - so he got his mate to finish it with a machine, which was so much less painful. Added to that the tattoo is on my ribcage, which is meant to be one of the most painful place to get a tattoo... anyway. It's done now and I have to say I love it.

The rest of Sunday was spent deciding how to spend the rest of our time in SE Asia - we were supposed to be going to Chaing Mai but decided to go to Koh Tao instead. Which is what we spent all day yesterday doing - getting the ferry to Koh Tao - and being reunited with some of our group!!! Amazing reaction from Jack when Andy surprised him! Big night out in Koh Tao, nightlife is awesome. Really buzzy Island.

So finally today - had a boat trip round some of the beaches in Koh Tao - being on a very rocky boat with a hungover is definitely not the one. But it was a lovely day snorkelling and ended with a trip to this island (can't remember the name of it now...oops) and a ridiculous trek up to the viewpoint. Worth it in the end though!

Went back to our room and I went to find some wifi to find out my first year uni results - somehow managed to get a 2:1. Unbelievably ecstatic. Celebrated by going to a ladyboy cabaret show which was actually really good! It was Jack's birthday so they got him in a bikini and up dancing with all the ladyboys - have to say I think he enjoyed it a bit too much..!
