Fun with food! A Bacon Blip.
This is my attempt at a "Bacon Blip."
I'm so glad that I took pictures prior to cooking! Setting the oven at 350F and cooking bacon for about 25 - 35 minutes usually makes wonderful crispy bacon depending on the thickness of the bacon slices.
Naturally, the bacon will shrink to a certain extent while cooking. Where I went wrong was trying to curve the bacon to form the B, C, O, and P characters.
About 20 - 25 minutes into the cooking cycle, the characters with curves were starting to curl. The other non curved characters turned out quite nicely. The post cooking result was a disappointment, thus the reason for the pre cooking image :)
Looking ahead to next time, the answer may be to use leaner bacon.
Oh well... it was a fun experiment and the bacon was quite delicious!
