The wonders of administration

Admittedly, it was a little gasp, but the surprise and puzzlement was evident on the face. My colleague had been with me in the office, recovering from the penultimate day of term, an open day, when she spotted this.

"How," she asked, "is that file floating in mid air?" You do begin to see things at the end of term, tiredness and shell shock have that effect, but this is genuine. So, how can it be?

It's just one of those education mysteries, isn't it!

But, when files start floating off the shelves, clearly you have a serious backlog of work to attend to. But, that's what the summer is for.
